Thank you for downloading NINJABot. Here're the instructions on how to install and set it up correctly.
Visit https://manychat.com and create an account by signing in with your Facebook page.
Once you've signed up, click on the "chat bot" link in the email you've just received. You'll be then redirected to this page. Click on the "Install" button.
In the next step, you'll see your Facebook page that you've signed up with in the list. Click on "Install" again.
In the "Finalize" step, keep the "Default reply", "Welcome Message" and "Main Menu" switched on. Click on the "Install Now" button to complete your installation.
You should now land on a page like this. If you haven't, your installation isn't completed. Please follow Step 1 to 4 again.
If you're still facing issues, please contact Manychat's customer support team.
Go to Growth Tools -> Widgets section from the Manychat's menu bar. Click on "NINJABot v1.0 - Growth Tool".
Scroll down to see other options that are available for your chat bot.
You can have your own messages in the "Greeting message for logged in user" and "Greeting message for logged out user" sections to make it more interesting for your visitors to interact with your chat bot.
No other options needed to be changed for the chat bot to work properly.
Click on the "Active & Check" button.
In the "Authorize Website" (A) section, enter your website URL where you want the chat bot to appear. You have to authorize your domains for the chat widget to work properly, it is Manychat's security precaution.
Then you'll see the chat widget code. Copy the code.
Now you have to paste this code on to your website. If you're on WordPress, go to Appearance -> Theme Editor from your WordPress admin dashboard.
Select your current theme -> Open "header.php" file -> and paste your chat widget code above the </head> tag.
If you're on Shopify, go to Themes -> Actions -> Edit Code.
Search for "theme.liquid" and open your theme.liquid file. On the right, paste the chat widget code right below the <head> tag and click on "Save".
Go back to Manychat and enter the website URL that you've just installed the code on.
Click on "Start Widget Check". You might need to delete your cache if you're using any cache plugins like WP Total Cache, WP Rocket, W3 Total Cache etc. if the check results in any errors.
Finally, on the top right toggle the button from Draft to Active. You can now see the NINJABot live and ready on your website. Test the bot and enjoy the magic!
EDITING BOT RESPONSES
Now that you've successfully installed and set up NINJABot, you might want to change the responses that the bot is sending when someone is interacting with it. Here's how you can change the messages to suit your eCommerce business.
Go to "Flows" and select "NINJABot v1.0 - eCommerce Live Chat Bot", you'll see all the flows that the bot need to function as it should be. You can learn more about flows in Manychat here.
Click on "NINJABot v1.0 (Main)" flow, here you can change the text your bot is going to send every time someone new interacts with it.
Click on the "Edit Flow" button on the right side of the screen to start editing and don't forget to save your edits from time to time.
For example, if you want to change your delivery timings to something other than what the bot have by default, open "NINJABot v1.0 - Shipping & Delivery" flow.
Here you can see all the steps and messages that the bot performs for every option a user selects.
If you want to change your shipping details, click on the "Shipping Details" under "Attached Steps" -> click on "Edit Flow" -> change the message -> save it.
